Our Philosophy in Class and On Stage
Improvisation is spontaneous. The unexpected not only CAN happen, it often DOES happen. Because of that, we strive to create an environment of artistic exploration and freedom in both a safe and permissive atmosphere. In our studio, participants are allowed and encouraged to experiment while they learn. That includes the freedom and permission to make mistakes. We don’t believe that our goal is to avoid mistakes: it’s to learn from them when they inevitably occur.
We ask all participants & instructors to follow…
Our Guidelines
Be welcoming and kind to everyone
Have fun
Accept and celebrate differences
Communicate & respect boundaries kindly
Assume good intentions
Allow for mistakes and kindly suggest alternatives if it feels right. 👍🏼 😊
We include many opportunities to share during classes and workshops. If you’re experiencing discomfort, please say something. You may choose to do so publicly or, if you prefer, privately with an instructor. Our teachers, trainers, and staff are all here to help you however we can.
